The last day of January 2025 brought to our city “Governor’s Hour”, Rotary Club Varana Focșani having the special honor of receiving the visit of Mrs. Mihaela Vlad, governor of Rotary District 2241 Romania and the Republic of Moldova 2024-2025. Also present were the presidents and members of the Rotary Clubs of Bârlad, Huși and Vaslui, members of the Interact Varana Focșani and Rotaract Varana Focșani clubs. From the local administration, the deputy mayor of Focșani Municipality, Mr. Traian Negulescu, was also present as a guest of honor.
The atmosphere of friendship and optimism combined with the importance of the actions carried out under the Rotary ideals, highlighting the importance of Rotary projects on our community. The Governor, Mihaela Vlad, began her presentation with the vision of her mandate carried out under the slogan “The Magic of Rotary”, listing some of the activities and events taking place within the district, drawing attention to Rotary International projects, actions that can be a motivation for continuing the Rotary mission.
This was followed by the presentations of the Rotary clubs present at the event, each of them reviewing the projects that have been completed recently or are still ongoing, as well as future initiatives that will be carried out in the Rotary year 2024-2025.
There was also an exchange of experiences and ideas, with the desire to identify new projects or future collaborations under the theme of the Rotary year “The Magic of Rotary”, which would bring inspiration and solutions for the benefit of the communities we are part of.
It was a beautiful evening, full of positive energy and friendship, specific to the Rotary community, whose mission is to integrate sustainable and impactful projects, to be with people and change things for the better.
