Rotary International District 2241 District Conference held June 6-8, 2013 at Hotel JW Marriott Bucharest and was attended by members of Rotary Clubs across the country.
On the first day of the conference after the opening ceremony, were presented guests and ongoing program. Radu Popescu, governor of Rotary District 2241, has kept the word of welcome, followed by the reports presentations of activity and the word of the representative of the President of Rotary International, Jack Best. The next day of the event included the spechees of the Governor Lions International District 124 Romania – Mr. Paul Grecu, the message of the President of Rotary International – Mr. Sakuji Tanaka, activity reports and presentations on vocational topics. At the end of the work was discussed the way of governor’s nomination for 2016-2017, creating the second district nominating committee and vote of the electors members.
In the last day of the conference was communicated to the present people the result of voting and they discussed about the transfer ceremony of the Governor, which included presentation of the program, the budget and the district team for 2013-2014.
Members of the Rotary VARANA Club and the President Dumitru Ducan were presented at this important event for Rotary in Romania, were actively involved in the activities and the presented works.
