Thursday, on May 16, 2013, Rotary Club Focsani VARANA was visited by Mr. Daniel Radu Popescu, Rotary District 2241 Governor.  Club VARANA was last visited by the governor in a tournament a week that included visits and meetings at Rotary clubs in the country.

VARANA Rotary President, Mr. Dumitru Ducan was host of the meeting and presented Governor Focsani club website and the activities carried out in the five years of. Then, in the “Governor’s Hour” Mr. Popescu  spoke to members of Rotary VARANA about the significance of the motto Peace through Service and about the important projects developed within the district (those relating to dentists volunteering, sending children with heart disease in Israel etc.).  He recommended increasing the number of members of the Club until at least 25, considered the minimum number optimal for efficient operation and he presented a summary of the proposed activities of the District Conference June 6-8.

Towards the end of the meeting were various discussions about the work of Rotary District 2241 and about future actions that will involve members of the Rotary Club VARANA.
