In early July, members of VARANA Rotary Club went to Delta Dunarii at Mahmudia for the ceremony of giving the chairmanship of the club. The ceremony was preceded by a description of projects undertaken by Rotary Club members in 2010-2011, presented by the President Marius Ulmeteanu and the Club`s Secretary, Dumitru Ducan.

Ongoing projects (aid granted to students with outstanding performance, scholarships, etc.) will be continued in the new President`s mandate, Laurentiu Bodolan, in Rotarian year 2011-2012. These and other actions which involved VARANA Rotary Club established at this meeting, outlined the work of the new leadership in the coming year.

Members who were absent (in small number and all had serious reasons) have reasons to regret as after official activities followed a program specific that area of the country: fishing, boating to the mouth of Danube in the Black Sea, fish meals in a natural setting and many more!
