VARANA Rotary Club Focsani supports young athletes and they reward us with their performance!
Ana Roberta Anghel is a raising star of the juvenile athletics in Romania, with good results in length samples, the second result in the country and 60 meters, the fifth result in the country in her age category. In her personal record she already has a gold medal for long jumps at the Junior National Championship III, but also other precious medal obtained in large competitions.
Earlier this month, VARANA Rotary Club assured financial support for Ana Roberta Anghel, student at National College “Unirea” in Focsani, so that she can participate to the Junior Athletics Championship I, which has held in Bucharest between 2 and 3 July. Ana Roberta has shown her value in samples oh 100 meters and long jump, where she climbed the third step on the podium and won bronze medals. Ana Roberta, trained by Professor Stefan Munteanu, will try to repeat at least this performance at the Balkan Games in Turkey, next week. Our club is going along the road with the young and talented sports, so that can provide her all conditions necessary for a great performance.
