Awarding Olympics in Vrancea

Students in Vrancea with exceptional results at school Olympics were awarded by members of VARANA Rotary Club Focsani. A total of 18 students who were placed on Olympics school podium received awards during a special event: anniversary concert celebrating two years of activity of VARANA Rotary Club Focsani, held at the Municipal Theatre in Focsani.

The club members handed cash prizes (approx. 5000 lei) to the young students, being supported in  this approach by representatives of the school inspectorate. Those attending the event were able to watch a concert of the chamber orchestra “ Unirea” Focsani, with two students as special guest: Michael Anthony Gay ( from “Stefan cel Mare) and Mariana Hurjui (from School of Arts “Gh. Tatarascu “), both being sponsored by the club. Talented students delighted the audience with exceptional performances on piano and flute.
