On the evening of November, 24 Hotel Fashion Center Focsani hosted the traditional VARANA Rotary Club Charity Ball found at the fifth edition this year. “Offer the present a future” was the slogan under which a delightful evening was held, with over two hundred guests animated by the Rotarian ideals. Charity Ball purpose was to gather the necessary funds to renovate at least four salons in the pediatric section of County Emergency Hospital “Sf. Pantelimon” in Focsani.
In the opening of the charity ball, the current president of Rotary Club, Dumitru Ducan, thanked those present for the support offered to the club`s projects and introduced the younger aspirants to Rotarian volunteering, future members of Interact Club. Dances presented by the best teams in the Elite Sports Club, magic tricks performed by the representatives of Magic Theatre, the warm and sensitive voice of Anthony Icuagu scored some of the most important moments of the evening, animated in a spectacular manner by the members of the famous band Provincialii, partner of the project initiated by VARANA Rotary Club. The items donated for auction – handmade handbags leather pony or horse, Hugo Boss glasses, tapestry from “Ladybugs” Club or painting by famous painters such as Paul Vincent Alberola – were purchased by generous people, which increased funds allocated to this project so important to the community.
To highlight the importance and humanitarian spirit of the event, guests of honor, the band and Anthony Icuagu haven`t accepted any fees for their services, considering that money are more important near the funds raised by this charity ball, to ensure better conditions for our children and their future.
