Between May 11 and 14, 2017 Tulcea held the most important Rotary Club event, namely the Rotary District Conference 2017 – District 2241 Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
From the Rotary Club VARANA Focşani, Mrs. Dinuta Rodica, Governor Assistant for the Rotarian Year 2016-2017, and Ms Elena Stoica, member of the Rotary District Committee of 2241, participated in this event.
As a sign of appreciation and thanks for the involvement and activities carried out in the rotative year 2016-2017, Mrs. Rodica Dinuţă received from the Governor Mircea Ştefan Solovăstru the following distinctions:
* Diploma of Excellence as a recognition sign for involvement in Rotary 2241 projects to award Paul Harris distinction;
* The Rotarian Badge of the Year and the Birthday Plaque.
And Mrs. Elena Stoica received an Anniversary Plate from Governor Solovastra as a mark of appreciation for her outstanding contribution to Rotary 2241 .

Nine years after the establishment of the Rotary Club VARANA Focşani, Doru Simiz received the Paul Harris Fellow diploma in recognition of his involvement in the Rotarian movement.
Founding President of our Club, Doru Simiz has always acted in the name of truth, friendship and community support.
